Essential Human Resources Knowledge for Non-HR (1 day)

Objective: Provide non-HR professionals with a foundational understanding of HR, focusing on key HR practices that they will encounter and need to manage in their roles.

Content:

    Activity: Icebreaker followed by a discussion on how HR impacts their daily work.

2. Recruitment, Onboarding & Performance Management

Objective: Provide participants with a practical understanding of key HR processes that involve interacting with HR teams or managing people.
Content:

  • Basics of recruitment (job descriptions, sourcing, interviews).
  • Importance of onboarding and training new employees.
  • Performance management: setting objectives, feedback, and appraisals.
    Activity: Role-play exercise on conducting interviews and setting performance goals.

3. Employee Relations, Conflict Resolution & Legal Compliance

Objective: Equip participants with tools for managing workplace issues and complying with legal HR requirements.

5. HR Toolkit, Building Organizational Culture

Objective: Empower participants with a practical HR toolkit to address common HR-related issues and contribute to a positive organizational culture.
Content:

  • Building a positive organizational culture and promoting employee engagement.
  • Practical HR toolkit for managing HR issues in their teams.
    Activity: Group exercise on creating a department-specific HR toolkit. Wrap-up and Q&A session.
